These are super simple, and there are lots of good variations. You could use gruyere or manchego cheese instead of parmesan, fresh figs or dried figs in place of fig jam, and/or drizzle on toppings like balsamic vinegar or olive oil. Whatever you do, it's a nice combination of sweet and savory.
Ingredients
10 thin slices of prosciutto
About 1/4 pound parmesan cheese, sliced into long thin pieces
Fig jam
Instructions
Slice prosciutto into long strips, about 1-2 inches wide. and 4-6 inches long.
Put a piece of parmesan cheese on each strip, ideally with a little cheese hanging over the edges of the parmesan strip.
Dab some fig jam on top of the piece of cheese. Then roll the whole thing up, pressing so the meat sticks to itself and holds the whole thing together.
